The Hollywoodbets Durban 10KM race has witnessed a remarkable increase in participants since its inaugural event in 2021, with 800 runners in the first year and 2400 in the second.
The organisers expect an impressive turnout of 5000 runners this year across the 5km and 10km events. With a vision to expand further, the race aims to attract over 10,000 participants in the coming years.

The race’s grand prize money has doubled since its inception, increasing from R15,000 to an impressive R30,000. This initiative recognises and rewards the hard work and dedication of athletes. It serves as a motivation for runners to strive for faster times and showcase their true potential.
Budding runners are encouraged to take advantage of the early bird ticket prices, priced at R150, which are available until July 31, 2023. After that, the standard ticket price of R200 will apply. Additionally, temporary licenses are available for non-affiliated club runners at a fee of R50.
