The 28-year-old defender excelled for Bafana Bafana at the recent Africa Cup of Nations where his country finished in third place. He has also been one of Sundowns’ standout players this season.

Mudau’s performances in the DStv Premiership and for his country attracted the interest of a number of clubs, reportedly outside of Africa, and most notably from Belgium, with the former Black Leopards right-back having played every game for South Africa.

Speaking to iDiski Times, Mudau admitted that he hasn’t been contacted by any clubs yet.

He said: “On that one, I think if that opportunity comes, I would take it.

“But for now I can’t say anything, I don’t know anything. So, I’ll just wait, I’m like you, I don’t know anything.”

Mudau added that Sundowns have helped him improve a lot.

“You know that side [Sundowns], you need the right mentality, stay positive, and make sure that you want to learn. Because, if you can check, almost all the players there have improved, you need to learn a lot,” he explained.

“They will show you your training session and if they are not happy, they will come to you and tell you what you have to improve on. And you get to learn and improve on that.”
