Cape Town Spurs have announced the signing of former Maritzburg United centre-back Tshepo Gumede.
The relegation-threatened DStv Premiership team have been in dire need of reinforcements as they bid to survive their first season back in the South African top flight.
Joining the Urban Warriors is 32-year-old Gumede who also counts SuperSport United. Platinum, Stars, Orlando Pirates, Cape Town City, AmaZulu, Cape Umoya United and Marumo Gallants as former clubs.
The experienced campaigner has signed a short-term deal with the struggling side and comes in as a replacement for the injured Lubeni Haukongo.

Spurs are currently bottom of the league standings with seven points, some six points adrift of Richards Bay. They next face seventh-placed TS Galaxy on Sunday.
