HEAVEN’S REWARD showed a welcome return to form when she tired late after showing good speed over seven furlongs on this track in her comeback effort three weeks ago. Of course the first three entrants participated in last Saturday’s Guineas. This bay daughter of Philanthropist will strip fitter and she should enjoy reverting to sprinting today. That said, she isn’t favourably weight with the best weighted entrant OURO albeit the latter is at her best over slightly shorter. The consistent four-year old speedster holds a promising c & d record though.

JENNY MCGEE had excuses for her most disappointing last run behind subsequent winner and quality sort Tamarina. She showed smart ability prior to that and after triumphing in the maiden ranks over this c & d, the bay daughter of Jay Peg stayed on for a creditable 4th in a smart field.

FIRE AND RESCUE hit his top stride late when runner-up in his first venture around over this trip recently and he should continue to progress. His good draw gives him the slight edge of HUMOUR ME who also had an eye-catching last run over the mile. The Woodruff inmate has obvious scope for further improvement.
