Race 3.
With the late scratching of one of his main rivals, the way may have been opened for BRAD to secure this fourth career victory. He returns from a 13 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but he is looking to make it four wins on the trot after completing his hat-trick with a win last time out over 1100M. He is drawn the widest of them all, but he opened his winning streak with a win at this venue, so he is no stranger to the track and looks hard to topple here. CELEBRATION DAY has also not drawn well at gate ten, but he showed good improvement last time out when finishing second over 11100M and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. BETTER THAN GOLD on the other hand has cracked pole position. She is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and was a little disappointing last time out, but if showing the form of her penultimate outing over five furlongs, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7.
LAST EDITION has put in two solid last runs and finished strongly to win his latest over this distance. He has drawn in gate eight and should be right up there when they hit the line. NOT LIABLE likes to race up with the pace in his races and stayed on well when winning last time out over 1300M. He is drawn out wide at ten, but he should be doing his best work over the latter stages of the race. FANAAR is drawn one outside the latter. He showed good improvement when winning his last outing over six furlongs and if he can repeat that last effort here, he should be involved in the finish. BOSS BABY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and is drawn the widest of them all. She steps up in trip here after finishing third last time out over five furlongs, but she may well be looking for this greater test of stamina and give the males a good run for their money.

Race 8.
DISTRICT missed out on his hat-trick when finishing second in his last outing over five furlongs. He has his first run for his new trainer today and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he could bounce back to winning ways here, jumping from gate five. V J DAY returns from a 31 week break, but he did finish second in his barrier trial to prove his well-being. He also has his first outing for his new conditioner and is drawn the widest, but he is seldom far off the action. If he has adjusted well to his new environment, he should be respected in this line-up. SHIGERU MAHOGANY showed marked improvement when securing third place last time out over six furlongs. If he has continued down that same path, he could threaten the top two picks. COASTAL BOY returns from a 17 week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but if not too much in need of the run, he should be included in all bets.

Race 9.
SHIRANDA is seldom far off the winner and fought on well when ending up in third place last time out over a mile and on that showing, he should have no issue with the extra ground of today’s contest. He is drawn on the outside of the field, but if showing the same determination here, he looks to be the value in the race. BUSTER BLOCK missed out on his trio of wins when finishing fourth last time out over a mile. He raced wide that day and may have finished closer to the winner as a result. He could be the immediate danger to the former from a kinder seven draw. LITTLE HUNTER was only beaten a head in his last outing over seven furlongs. He steps up to nine furlongs today, but if taking to the extra ground on offer here, he should be respected.

Race 10.CHARLES SEVEN put three and a half lengths between himself and the balance of the field when winning his maiden race last time out over 1100M. He was returning from a 17 week rest that day, but did go from jump to wire and could prove difficult to reel in over the latter stages of the contest. COLD POWER followed up his penultimate win over five furlongs with a third-place finish next time out over the same distance. He has subsequently moved stables and turns out for his new yard for the first time today. If adequately settled in, he should give a good account of himself here, despite having to overcome a wide eleven gate. ALL STAR ROCKET is a 3yr old filly taking on males and is drawn one outside the latter. She goes on the extra furlong here after finishing second last time out over five furlongs, but she is likely to be picking off the frontrunner in the dash down to the wire.

Race 5.
With the two late scratchings, the field has been reduced to just six runners and FREE THRILLS might be able to take advantage of this to record her third career victory. She is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has put in two solid last efforts over this c&d, the latest when finishing second, only 1.3L behind the winner. From her handy three draw, she is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. ALL IN BRAWL returns from a 19 week rest and has his first run for his new trainer. He showed some improvement in his last outing before the move and if fully settled into his new environment, he could challenge the top choice. YANKEE LOU has cracked pole position and stayed on well in his last outing over 1100M on this surface. The drop in distance should not present him with an issue.

Race 6.
SHE’S SENSATIONAL is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her name and followed up her win over the c&d three runs back with two second place finishes. She drops back to six furlongs today, but was only run out of it late last time out over seven furlongs and looks to be the one to side with here. CHANNING has cracked pol position and won his penultimate start over the c&d. He was slowly away when finishing sixth in his last outing over the c&d, just 3.1L back. If getting away on terms today, he could be the biggest danger to the former. MISS BELISA is a 5yr old mare who is seldom far off the action. She was making good late progress when second last time out over the c&d and from gate six, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7.
This looks to be a trick race and some caution is advised. APHOTIC had been making steady improvement before being victorious last time out over this c&d. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but sticks to the seven furlongs here and may be good enough to record his double. TEDDY MERCURY has finished second in his last three starts, the last two over six furlongs on this surface. He jumps from gate two and should put in another honest performance today. HIGH TORQUE returns from a 20 week break during which time he was gelded. He has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust, but he drops in trip and if not too much in need of the run, he should be included in all bets. TEMPO was a winner from jump to wire last time out over six furlongs. He put nearly four and a half lengths between himself and the opposition that day and despite being drawn wide out at fourteen, he should be right up there when they hit the wire.

Race 8.
As with the previous contest, finding the winner here is no easy task. SIRIUS DEAL followed up his penultimate win over nine furlongs with a second place finish over this c&d next time out, only a half length adrift of the winner. He battled all the way down to the line that day and if showing the same spirit today, he should be a big runner here. His wide draw is however a concern. MODULO steps up in trip after recording his maiden victory last time out over seven furlongs. He drew clear of the field that day, suggesting that the extra ground of today’s race should not be an issue. GREGORIAN CHANT has finished second in his last two starts, the latest being over this trip. He was six lengths back that day, but nevertheless he should be considered in this line-up. FAOLAN showed marked improvement when finishing third in his last outing over a mile. He was hampered at the 200M pole on that occasion and should have finished closer as a result. He starts from gate four and if able to confirm that last effort, he should be a factor here.

Race 5.
Two 3yr old fillies and a 5yr old mare look like they can dominate the finish to this race and complete the trifecta. AL SNIP has solid formlines to her name and was making good late progress when only beaten a head last time out over six furlongs and on that effort, she should enjoy going over the extra ground. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be looking to make amends here, jumping from her handy two draw. PATRINA has yet to finish out of the top three places in her five runs to date. She followed up her penultimate win over 1500M with a third place finish over six furlongs next time out when returning from a 15 week rest. She will get 1.5kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice to aid her cause. DUCHESS MARIZZA won over 1100M three runs back and will get an even greater 2kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming appie. She should be involved in the finish today.

Race 6.
With the late scratching of one of the original favorites, the door may have opened for XIAOLI’S YING to record her third career victory. She is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and returns from a 24 week break, but she has put in two encouraging barrier trial to prove her fitness. She followed up her win over five furlongs three runs back with two second place finishes, the latest being over 1100M. She gets a 2kg claiming apprentice in the irons and has a handy draw of gate four. SPECIAL DATE is another 3yr old filly. She disappointed last time out over 1300M when returning from a 18 week rest, but she drops back to five furlongs, a distance she won over three runs back. BRING GLORY returns from a 16 week break, but did finish third in his only barrier trial. He showed marked improvement in winning his last outing over six furlongs before the rest. He has a wide draw of thirteen to overcome, but gets ex-SA jockey Keagan Latham in the irons so will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle.

Race 7.
This looks to be a wide-open affair and some caution is advised. BADIA is a 3yr old filly taking on males and who returns from a 15 week rest, but she has put in reasonable barrier trial. She won her penultimate outing over six furlongs and then finished second in her next start over the same distance, just a half length behind the winner. She jumps from gate two and should be right up there in the mix. WANDER won his last start over 1100M when returning from a lengthy 34 week rest. He has a wideish draw of eight, but on the plus side, he will get a 1.5kg apprentice allowance. MR POLAR is drawn one outside the latter, but he is seldom far off the action, finishing third last time out over this distance. He will get an even greater 2kg taken off his back for the services of his claiming apprentice. RAGGED RASCAL has cracked pole position and stayed on well when ending up in fifth position last time out over six furlongs, 2.7L behind the victor.

Race 8.
LIVE THE MOMENT showed sudden improvement to win his last outing over this trip. He starts from gate seven and if he is able to confirm that last effort, he should be regarded as a big runner in this line-up. BRUTALITY won his penultimate start over 1500M and then made good late progress when finishing third last time out over the mile. He is drawn four and looks to be the immediate danger to the top choice. VIENNA RAIN has pulled pole position and although he is recorded as finishing eighth in his last outing over 1500M, he was just 1.3L behind the winner. He is sure to put his plum draw to good use here.
