This six-year old gelding made a smart return to the races last time out on this track when winning by two and a half lengths beating Colfer Me. He performs superbly with Whelan in the saddle and they will be tough to peg back in the closing stages of this contest.
Race 7 No3 CROSSFIREHURRICANE
Trainer: J. O’Brien – Jockey: S. Crosse
This American-bred chestnut colt is unbeaten from four starts and he will be looking to keep that record intact this afternoon. He has regular rider Crosse in the saddle and they definitely have the ability to win this Group 1 contest.
Race 8 No6 SOVERIEGN
Trainer: AP. O’Brien – Jockey: Not Declared
This O’Brien trained inmate put six lengths between himself and the runner-up in the Irish Derby last time out. The only concern is that he has been in the paddock for a year, but if returning fresh then he will take a power of beating in the lucky last race.
