Race 1
NEW AMSTERDAM made a solid debut over this distance and then raced wide in his last start over the same trip. He gets gate two and looks to be the one to side with here. He will be hoping to make his experience count. His main rival may come in the form of the unraced EGYPTIAN MOON who is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She has had two barrier trials, winning the latest. She will jump from gate six and any betting support for her should be respected. VENETIAN JEWEL is also a 3yr old filly who has had three runs to date and gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time today. Her cause will be further aided by her having 3kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. ROSES ARE RED is an unraced 3yr old filly who has had four barrier trials. Keep on eye on the betting market to see if her connections feel she can win on debut.

Race 5
SPEEDY MISS is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her credit and won by a head last time out over seven furlongs. She has a wide draw of ten to negotiate, but nevertheless she should be right up there when they hit the line. PREVAILING WINDS on the other hand has cracked pole position. He steps up from six furlongs, but this should not be an issue and he should be a factor here. SUSPECTUS was a comfortable 2.3L winner of his last outing over this distance and will likely be running on over the closing stages of the contest. I’M ICEY won his penultimate start over six furlongs and jumping from draw two, he should be included in all bets.

Race 6
DUSTYPARK won his maiden race last time out over this c&d. He has a handy draw of three and will be further assisted by having 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. He could be the value bet on the day. MIRTH ‘N’ MUSIC also won his maiden race last time out, this time over six furlongs. He only won a neck that day and takes on stronger here, but he should not be lightly dismissed. SOWAR tasted victory last time out over a mile by some two and a half lengths and whilst draw wide out at twelve, he could pose a threat to the top two selections. PERCEIVE is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she has shown gradual improvement in her last two outings and if she has continued along that same path, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7
LIL’ RED BIKINI is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she is seldom far off the action and is likely to put in another honest performance today. She steps up in trip from her last outing over six furlongs when just under two lengths behind the winner, but the extra distance should be well within her grasp. DOUBLE THE PRO has consistent form to his name and stayed on well last time out when third over this trip. He has the widest draw of them all which is a concern, but he should turn in another solid effort here. TRIGGERFISH drops in trip from his last outing over seven furlongs where he was fourth, just 2.2L behind the winner. He has a mid-field draw and should be viewed as a big runner in this field. MISINFORMED BEN steps up in trip from the 1300M of his last start, but he was making good late progress in that race and is likely to enjoy the extra ground on offer today.

Race 8
Three fillies could dominate the finish to this race and complete the trifecta. DOLCITY has put in two solid sprints and did finish second last time out over five furlongs, only 1.5L behind the victor. She has a wide draw of sixteen to beat, but she fought on well in that last run and if showing the same determination today, she could find herself in the winner box. BANK ON IT returns from a 26 week break and has her first run for her new trainer. She led throughout to win her maiden race before the rest and if fully settled into her new surroundings, she could threaten the top pick. CATIA won her penultimate outing by nearly five lengths and then was hardly disgraced when second over five furlongs next time out. She is faced with a wide fourteen gate, but she should be right up there in the mix. OLD BAILEY followed up his penultimate victory over 1100M with a fifth-place finish over six furlongs. He appears to prefer the shorter journey and should give a good account of himself here.
