Taunton Best Bets
Race 2: MUCKAMORE (3)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies
Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies
MUCKAMORE has put in two crack efforts since joining his trainer and can provide a syndicate run by former jockey Noel Fehily with its first winner. He looked all over the winner at Ludlow until headed near the finish of the three miles which is probably why connections have elected to drop him back in trip.
Race 6: FAIR KATE (3)
Trainer: Tom Lacey
Jockey: Richard Johnson
This partnership really clicked at Newbury earlier in the season but it wasn’t the same FAIR KATE that turned up at Kempton last time. Johnson is back in the plate and the mare gets the softer ground she prefers, factors that could make all the difference.
Wetherby Best Bets
Race 5: BOBO MAC (1)
Trainer: Tom Symonds
Jockey: Adrian Heskin
After a two year absence from novice races, BOBO MAC is back in that domain and can successfully give weight to his two rivals. That’s down to a penalty picked up when he scored at Ludlow in November, while he also ran well at that course when second to Head To The Stars last month.
Race 7: HIGH MOON (5) (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby
Jockey: Jamie Hamilton
Easy to back on his debut at Market Rasen, HIGH MOON shaped well with a mid-division finish and will have learned much from that. He hails from a family that needs time but granted normal improvement should finish in the money.
