Bangladesh will rue that they were just never able to kick on despite keeping the scoreboard ticking over.
They will need to show a great deal more intent if they are to fight their way back into this series.
Anamul Haque looked the most likely of the top-order batters while his peers appeared content to try to bat themselves into form.
Mosaddek Hossain was the weak link in the bowling lineup last time out and considering he doesn’t bring much to the party with the bat he might have punched his ticket for a Sunday off.
