After winning the toss the Dolphins made inroads into the Warriors batting line-up with regularity.

The hosts couldn’t put a partnership of significance together with the 46 between Rudi Second and Wihan Lubbe for the fifth wicket their best return.

Second top-scored for the Warriors with 33 but it was the Dolphins bowlers that stole the show throughout the day.

Dolphins opening bowler Eathan Bosch was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors when he took three for 18 in 13 overs.

There were wickets for all the other bowlers with Kerwin Mungroo bagging two scalps along with spinner Keshav Maharaj and Ruan de Swardt. Speedster Daryn Dupavillon picked up one wicket.

In reply the Dolphins lost SJ Erwee early for four before Senuran Muthusamy and Keegan Petersen put on 35 for the second wicket before Petersen was caught by wicket-keeper Sinethemba Qeshile off the bowling of Mthiwekhaya Nabe for fourteen.

Stumps were called early due to bad light with the Dolphins 67 for two with Senuran Muthusamy not out on 34 and captain Marques Ackerman not out on eight.
