A third century of the innings, this time from Bryce Parsons put the Hollywoodbets Dolphins on the front foot against the Knights in Bloemfontein as they head into day three with a lead of over 400 runs.

Parsons’ century catapulted the Dolphins first innings over 400 while half centuries from the impressive Romashan Pillay and the returning Andile Simelane took the Dolphins past the 500 run mark. The Dolphins had another good day with the bat as Parsons pushed on to his third first class century on day two.

The left hander finished on 118 off 197 balls with seven fours and one six. Pillay went to his second first class half century and his career best with 81 off 117 balls. In just his fourth innings the all rounder has made two half centuries at an average of over 43.

At the back end of the innings Andile Simelane made 50 not out with Daryn Dupavillon also contributed with the bat making 41. That took the Dolphins to 570 for nine declared.

The Knights in reply took advantage of the comfortable batting conditions as their openers put together a strong stand for the first wicket. The Dolphins had to be patient with the ball, and they struck twice late in the day.

Firstly they had the dangerous Jacques Snyman run out for 81 and then Gihahn Cloete was trapped in front off the bowling of Okuhle Cele for six. The Knights finished the day on 157 for two trailing the Dolphins first innings score by 413 runs.
