The Dolphins are now unbeaten in their three matches across both the Hollywoodbets Pro50 and Hollywoodbets Pro20 competitions, however, they were made to work hard for their victories in the Free State this past weekend.

Saturday saw the teams face off in a 50-over clash at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein and the Knights decided to bat first.

The Dolphins were miserly with the ball as they restricted the home side to 187 for nine in their 50 overs.

Jade de Figueredo was the stand-out with the ball picking up 3/24 in her ten overs. There were four wickets shared amongst the other bowlers while three run outs accounted for the rest of the dismissals.

In reply, the Dolphins started well in their chase, and they continued to put the peddle down throughout with Alexander Candler top-scoring with 68 off 92 balls at the top of the order.

Nicole de Klerk controlled things in the middle overs with 39 off 42 balls and there was a slight scare late on, however, De Figueredo came to the party with ten not out off 13 balls to get the Dolphins home.

They won by three wickets with twelve overs to spare.

Weather played a significant part on Sunday as the Pro20 clash was reduced to just five overs a side.

The Dolphins won the toss and chose to bowl first and they restricted Free State to 28 for two in their five overs.

Yasmeen Khan produced some magic in the field to run out Izel Cilliers first ball of the match with a direct hit.

Another run out accounted for the second wicket as the Dolphins were set an updated target of 39 to win.

The chase didn’t go according to plan for the Dolphins, and they were 35 for six needing four runs to win off the final ball of the match.

Namibian international Yasmeen Khan showed her experience and composure as she swung the final ball away to the deep midwicket fence for four to give the Dolphins another exciting victory.

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins have another break in fixtures and will face the SGG Garden Route Badgers at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium over the weekend of 16-17 November.
