The Gbets Warriors have handed the Hollywoodbets Dolphins their third defeat of the CSA One Day Cup when they beat the Dolphins by 208 runs at St George's Park on Sunday.
Batting first the hosts put together a mammoth 329 for six in their 50 overs with Diego Rosier and Wihan Lubbe both making centuries.
Rosier ended up making 148 before he was bowled by Eathan Bosch after facing just 127 balls.
Lubbe’s hundred took him 106 balls before he was trapped in front by Dolphins captain Prenelan Subrayen.
Kerwin Mungroo bagged two for 56 while there were wickets for Bosch, Subrayen and Ottniel Baartman.
The Dolphins chase never got off the ground as they were bundled out for 121 with only one player making a significant contribution.
SJ Erwee made another half-century but his 64 was the only real resistance from the visitors.
The Dolphins went from 36 for one to 62 for two before a 29 run partnership between Erwee and Marques Ackerman.
They then lost seven wickets for 30 runs with Tiaan van Vuuren picking up three wickets while spinner Tsepo Ndwandwa also took three – finishing with figures of three for 20.
The Hollywoodbets Dolphins will return to Hollywoodbets Kingsmead for their next clash, a meeting with Six Gun Grill Western Province on Wednesday.
