To Win Match
India 26/100 | Tie 25/1 | Sri Lanka 29/10

Winning the series won’t be enough for India to get their fans off their backs.

Rohit Sharma captains a side that is being forced through a transition that is being resisted by the old guard to some extent.

Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav are in great form but might not get to play in the same XI.

Yuzvendra Chahal is back in action and will be looking to build to his best cricket ahead of the World Cup.

Sri Lanka are led by all-rounder Dasun Shanaka, and he too is overseeing a changing of the guard.

In Sri Lanka’s case, this transition is more welcome as the nation is desperate for new stars who will help them compete with the game’s elite.

Wanindu Hasaranga is an established player but at just 25-years-old, he has plenty more to give to this national team and could be the star they build around.

Pathum Nissanka has been their form batter but he needs more support from the middle order.

Verdict: India 26/100

India should have Sri Lanka outgunned in the opener.
