India are fortunate to have automatic qualification as they currently sit seventh on the table with the top seven nations set to join them in the 2023 World Cup.

Zimbabwe vs India | 18 August 2022 | Harare Sports Club, Harare | 09:15

To Win Match
Zimbabwe  8/1| Tie 25/1 | India 1/14

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe should take confidence from their series win against Bangladesh and they will need it against a strong India side.

The Chevrons can get back into contention for the top eight if they can take some points off of India in this series.

Sikandar Raza was the star of the series against the Tigers and will once again be a key man when Zimbabwe meet India in Harare.

There are reasons to believe Zimbabwe could be about to enjoy a resurgence given the quality of the young talent coming through like Ryan Burl, Luke Jongwe and Innocent Kaia.

India

KL Rahul leads India in a series they will want to sweep despite missing a few regulars.

Shikhar Dhawan also lends experience at the top of the order but despite relative inexperience India have quality batters on hand.

The likes of Rahul Tripathi will be eager to press for a change of status from fringe player to India regular.

Ishan Kishan might get another opportunity to show he can translate brilliance in the T20 arena into the fifty over game.

Verdict: India 1/14

India should just have too much for Zimbabwe. Perhaps it will be better to sniff around the live markets for a bit more value once the game gets underway.
