The Kolkata Knight Riders topped the IPL log but finished the campaign with two rained-off matches. Meanwhile, the Sunrisers won their final round-robin match to secure their place in this match.

Neither side have won a match at the Narendra Modi Stadium this season with the Sunrisers losing their match against the Titans while KKR had their match rained off.

To Win Match
Knight Riders 92/100 | Tie 25/1 | Sunrisers 92/100

KKR might have lost a bit of momentum owing to the weather playing havoc with their matches but they have been the best side throughout the IPL.

Sunil Narine has been the undisputed king of the impact ratings for the IPL with his 461 runs and 15 wickets but KKR have plenty of weapons in this team.

Not least finisher and all-rounder Andre Russell who also has 15 wickets to his name with fewer runs in the bank largely down to his role being limited by the success of those batting above him.

Phil Salt has flown under the radar just a little bit for KKR but he has proven to be among the most consistent batters in all of T20 cricket while Varun Chakravarthy keeps getting wickets at vital moments for the Kolkata franchise.

The Sunrisers have shown throughout the IPL that they are a dangerous side when Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma get rocking in the powerplay.

Pace trio Pat Cummins, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Thangarasu Natarajan have been brilliant for the Orange Army as well.

Heinrich Klaasen’s brutal finishing ability is something every side in the IPL would love to have at their disposal.

The steady hands of Nitish Reddy and Rahul Tripathi in that middle order can also not be discounted when calculating the formula for SRH’s success.

Verdict: Kolkata Knight Riders 92/100

Despite their recent weather woes, KKR should still have that magic touch that takes them into the final.
