IPL PREVIEW

Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore | IPL Match 27 | Saturday 16 April 2022 | Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai | 16:00

Saturday 16 April

Capitals 21/20 | Tie 25/1 | Royal Challengers 82/100 (15:00)

Delhi Capitals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore find themselves in similar positions with neither side as yet finding their best form.

Both sides could easily push on to make the playoffs but equally, they are in danger of dropping off the pace if they lose momentum.

The Capitals won last time out while RCB slumped to defeat against the struggling Chennai Super Kings.

Prithvi Shaw has revived his hopes of an India recall with a strong start to the IPL but the Capitals need more from their batters.

The Royal Challengers are due a win and are rightly favourites here. Get on at 82/100

Punjab Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad | IPL Match 28 | Sunday 17 April 2022 | DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai | 12:00

Sunday 17 April

Kings 82/100 | Tie 25/1 | Sunrisers 21/20 (11:00)

Punjab Kings have endured patchy form but have been consistently competitive, a huge improvement from past seasons.

The Sunrisers have been poor but did well to record their first win in their last outing.

Liam Livingstone has proven to be the Punjab Kings’ most valuable player so far this season.

Sunrisers pacemen T Natarajan and Umran Malik are the players to watch for the Orange Army.

The Kings have been genuinely impressive this season and are tipped to get over the line with minimal fuss against an out of sorts Sunrisers.

Titans 92/100 | Tie 25/1 | Super Kings 92/100 (16:00)

Table-topping Gujarat Titans have been brilliantly led by Hardik Pandya who has taken to the role better than most expected.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings desperately need a leader as Ravindra Jadeja tries to establish himself as skipper.

CSK haven’t found a standout performer for 2022 and their established talents appear to be struggling to touch.

The Titans have a lethal weapon in Black Caps pacer Lockie Ferguson and he is just getting into his stride.

I’ve been impressed with the Titans in this edition of the IPL and reckon they’ll claim the spoils here at 92/100.

Monday 18 April

Royals 82/100 | Tie 25/1 | Knight Riders 21/20

The Rajasthan Royals lean heavily on Jos Buttler, but luckily he has broad shoulders.

On form, these teams are quite evenly matched, although both are looking to avoid making losing a habit in Mumbai.

The Royals can content themselves with knowing that Shimron Hetmyer is also threatening to cut loose in a dangerous top order.

KKR have a point to prove this season and Shreyas Iyer must show he can coax performances out of his team on a regular basis.

The Royals are tipped to bag their fourth win of the campaign here.
