Rain dominates day two in PMB

Grant Roelofsen batting for the Hollywoodbets Dolphins in the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series

With the game evenly poised on Tuesday, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins could only add 92 runs to their total in their CSA 4-Day Domestic Series clash against the World Sports Betting Cape Cobras at the Pietermaritzburg Oval before rain had to final say.

Starting the day on 234 for four, Andile Phehlukwayo added six runs to his overnight score before he was bowled for 67.

The Dolphins then lost Rob Frylinck a handful of deliveries later before centurion Grant Roelofsen fell for a well-played 133 from 218 balls. His innings included twenty boundaries.

There were a few cameos down the bottom of the order with Prenelan Subrayen scoring seventeen and Smangaliso Nhlebela making nineteen.

Kerwin Mungroo provided the entertainment at the bottom end of the order scoring 24 not out batting at number ten.

Nhlebela was the last wicket to fall before the umpires called the players from the field and they were unable to return.

The Dolphins will begin the third day at the Pietermaritzburg Oval on 325 for nine.
