Sunrisers Eastern Cape vs Paarl Royals | Tuesday 24 January 2023 | St George’s Park, Gqeberha | 13:30

To Win Match
Sunrisers Eastern Cape 23/20 | Tie 25/1 | Paarl Royals 72/100

These two sides are currently engaged in the battle for second place on the log.

The Sunrisers haven’t been the most impressive with the bat but their spin bowlers have been a huge boost to their chances.

Jos Buttler leads the way in runs scored for the Royals while Aiden Markam tops the run list to the Eastern Cape team.

Imaad Fortuin is the surprise clutch man for the Royals when it comes to changing the game with the ball while Roelof van der Merwe has a dozen wickets in the bank for the Sunrisers.

Verdict: Paarl Royals 72/100

I reckon this will be a close-run thing, but the Paarl Royals should just about shave proceedings.

Joburg Super Kings vs Durban’s Super Giants | Tuesday January 2023 | The Wanderers, Johannesburg | 17:30

To Win Match
Joburg Super Kings 72/100 | Tie 25/1 | Durban’s Super Giants 23/20

The bottom two will take each other on in the final match before the one-week break and they will be desperate to get their seasons back on track.

Quinton de Kock hasn’t made the impact that DSG might have hoped but Heinrich Klaasen proved his T20 credentials once again.

Kyle Mayers has kept it tight with the new ball but DSG haven’t been able to get the early wickets they need.

Reeza Hendricks is another Proteas star who has chipped in unexpectedly as a bowler who is tough to get away.

Verdict: Joburg Super Kings 72/100

The Durban side’s last two results – both involving horrific batting blowouts – don’t inspire any confidence. Get on the Super Kings to get the job done as the league heads into its break.
