Budgie’s Best Bets for the Weekend

Budgie's Best Bets for the Weekend

Our tipster Budgie Byrne gives us his best bets for the weekend, providing plenty of value.

We kick-off the weekend with a 13/1 English Double

Wolves to beat Aston Villa (Sat 27, 13:30) is our first leg. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team have won four and drawn three of their last seven league appearances, while winning three and drawing one of their last four away from home. Aston Villa sneaked a point when drawing 1-1 at Newcastle in midweek, but avoiding defeat here looks a difficult ask.

Man United to Win the FA Cup is my second leg. The Red Devils have impressed of late and with Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba leading the way, 6/1 on United looks great value and they have already beaten Manchester City three times this season.

Onto the Championship where an 8/1 Treble is our play

Swansea City to beat Luton Town (Sat 27, 13:30) is our first leg. The Swans beat Middlesbrough 3-0 away last week, while they have won three, drawn two and lost one of their last six at home, and playing a Luton Town  side, who are bottom and have won one, drawn one and lost four of their last six away league fixtures, they should win.

Derby County to beat Reading (Sat 27, 14:00) is our second leg. The Rams have won their last three league games, while at home, they have won five and drawn two of their last seven but facing a Reading unit, who have won three, drawn one and lost two of their last six league encounters, they should have enough quality to cope.

Bristol City to beat Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, 13:00, completes our Treble. The Robins have dropped to 10th after winning one, drawing two and losing five of their last eight league matches but playing a Sheffield Wednesday outfit, who have won only one of their last 11 league outings, while drawing two and losing three of their last five away from home, I am chancing them.

Staying in the Championship, I fancy an Over 1.5 Goals Treble at 15/2

Birmingham City (Sat 27, 16:00), Derby County (Sat 27, 14:00) and Preston North End (Sat 27, 13:30) are the sides we need to score Over 1.5 Goals each.

We travel to Germany where a 17/2 Bundesliga Double is our punt

Freiburg to beat Schalke (Sat 27, 15:30) is our first leg. The Breisgau Brazilians have won their last 2 home league appearances, beating decent teams and facing a Schalke unit, who have not won in their last 15 league games while drawing four and losing six of their last 10 away from home, I fancy them.

There should be plenty Goals in the Eintracht Frankfurt/Paderborn clash (Sat 27, 15:30), so Andre Silva to be the First Goalscorer is our second leg.

I’m going for a Both Teams to Score Four-Timer at 9/1

Sheffield United/Arsenal (Sun 28, 14:00), Charlton/QPR (Sat 27, 13:30), Preston/Cardiff City (Sat 27, 13:30), Wigan/Blackburn Rovers (Sat 27, 16:00) are our sides we need to score at least once.

If you want to increase your odds to 16/1, add the Watford/Southampton (Sun 28, 17:30) match.

Our Collis King – Six or Nixer works out at 29/1

Wolves, Man United (Sat 27, 18:30), Birmingham City (Sat 27, 16:00), Derby County, Swansea City and Freiburg are our suggested picks.
