Western Province will be keen to build on their impressive victory over the Lions when they host the Griquas on Saturday the 22nd of September.
Western Province will set their sights on overhauling the log-leading Bulls when they take on the Griuquas this Saturday evening. The hosts head into this one off the back of a resounding 38-65 victory over the Lions and will be full of confidence when they return home to take on a Griquas side that beat the Cheetahs XV 52-24 last weekend.

What a performance that was by Western Province. I mean getting a win in Johannesburg is a hard enough task but to absolutely annihilate the Lions in the manner they did was something special. They also managed to win the game 38-65 despite being without their first or second choice flyhalves.
The reigning champions now head home to take on a Griquas outfit that will be in good spirits having claimed a bonus point win over the Cheetahs XV. The hosts will know the Griquas will come out the blocks firing, but if they can weather the initial surge from the visitors then they should have no trouble registering another bonus point victory here.

Many were expecting the Griquas to be rooted to the foot of the log for the majority of the season but the men from Griquland have silenced the naysayers and currently find themselves in fifth position headed into the final few rounds of the tournament.
This weekend’s visitors gave a great account of themselves against the Cheetahs XV last weekend running out 52-24 victors. The result came at home, however, and the Griquas really have struggled on the road this term.

The men from Cape Town are in red-hot form and I can see them taking this Griquas side to task. My money is on the hosts winning it by 25 points or more.
