LADY DUCHESS had excuses in her last run over the mile but was running on nicely to finish 6th, 3.1 lengths behind the winner Fly Rebecca Fly that day. Top jockey Muzi Yeni has been engaged for the ride and the daughter of Kahal is having her peak run. OVER ACHIEVER has shown good signs in her last two runs over shorter.
Race 7: JAYAASH(10)
JAYAASH is unbeaten in both runs at this track. The lightly raced 4yr old bay gelding is still on the upgrade and could be hard to beat from pole position. Young jockey Craig Zackey is in red-hot form and the pair could go close. TAYAAR is returning to best form and he ran on well for 4th when beaten just a length behind the winner Long Walk three weeks ago.
Race 8: CAPE SISKIN(2)
CAPE SISKIN has shown much improved form with blinkers. The six-year old bay gelding drops in class and will relish the 1200m trip over which he has recorded all six career wins. The son of Trippi is well drawn at gate 4 and could record his seventh career victory. JUSTASH has terrific form and is unbeaten in three runs over this c & d.
Race 6: SON OF APPROVAL(10)
Gauteng raider SON OF APPROVAL could make his presence felt in this pinnacle stakes race. The 6yr old bay gelding achieved all four of his career wins on the former Vaal sand track. Trainer Tyrone Zackey must be confident of a big run by his charge and has engaged the services of Muzi Yeni.
