Race 1 No10 MY EYES ADORE YOU
Trainer: James Stack – Jockey: Chris Hayes
While a market check is strongly advised with newcomer Giovanni Bellini, the proven course form of MY EYES ADORE YOU makes her a viable option. The daughter of Profitable will be more streetwise than when chasing home Markaz Panama on her Cork debut and can open her account.
Race 2 No8 COUGAR
Trainer: Aidan O’Brien – Jockey: Jamie Heffernan
The dogs have been barking COUGAR’s name out of Coolmore and the attractive son of Deep Impact is strongly fancied to deliver on racecourse debut. In a deep maiden he can overcome his inexperience to outpoint fellow debutants China Seas and Paris Lights.
Race 3 WELD PARK STAKES (Group 3)
No9 SUNSET SHIRAZ (Nap)
Trainer: Gavin Cromwell – Jockey: Gary Carroll
Hello You will need respecting if making a swift reappearance after her success in the Rockfel, but in the unlikely incidence that she does, SUNSET SHIRAZ sets the standard. The Time Test filly deserves a change of luck after a couple of solid efforts in stronger company, and will be hard to beat.
Race 5 RAA ATOLL LOUGHBROWN STAKES (Group 3)
No5 SEARCH FOR A SONG
Trainer: Dermot Weld – Jockey: Colin Keane
Dual Irish St Leger winner SEARCH FOR A SONG didn’t fire when going for a third triumph in that race, but the Galileo mare can now raise her game as the outing is thought to have brought her on. She appeals as a value option to The Mediterranean, who posted a sixth earning effort in as many starts this year when taking home a minor cheque in the Leger itself at Doncaster, just under five lengths behind Hurricane Lane.
EPSOM
Race 2 No2 GOLDSPUR (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick
A cracking conditions race can fall to GOLDSPUR, who absolutely hacked up on his Sandown introduction and in doing so showed he can handle an undulating course. The Dubawi colt can take the measure of Berkshire Rebel, who also defends a one race unbeaten record and looks smart.
Race 5 No6 FANGORN (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
After sweating up at the post last week, FANGORN ran a lifeless race at Newmarket that is probably best forgotten. The Bungle Inthejungle colt will either love this track or hate it, but if the former applies can earn at a big price.
FFOS LAS
Race 3 No10 DIAMOND COTTAGE (Each Way)
Trainer: a Malcolm Saunders – Jockey: Ryan Tate
DIAMOND COTTAGE has played the bridesmaid role on a few occasions this season and deserves a change of luck in cheek pieces that worked well for her in a recent close up third at Chepstow.
Race 4 No3 NADEIN (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Charlton – Jockey: Hollie Doyle
NADEIN skipped a good opportunity earlier in the month after attracting heavy support, but should find today’s prevailing underfoot conditions in her favour. The daughter of Golden Horn wasn’t beaten far by subsequent Melrose Handicap winner Valley Forge here a couple of runs back, and duly trotted up on latest start at Catterick. She should have too much firepower for her mainly older rivals.
