Here are the market options for the All Placed Kicks to Count (Handicap) option:
It’s important to remember that even if placed kicks are not converted, the points are still awarded to the team who attempted the kick. Please note that drop goal attempts do not count. Penalties are equivalent to 3 points, and Try Conversions are equivalent to 2 points.
Here’s a match scenario. The final score is Sharks 15-10 Lions. The Sharks missed all 3 conversions and one penalty. The Lions missed two penalties. Therefore 3 conversions = 6 points, and one penalty (3 points), means we add 9 points to the Sharks score, and 6 points to the Lions score.
Therefore the score is no longer 15-10. The score is now Sharks 24-16 Lions.
Therefore the winning market here is still the Sharks for the outright. However for the handicap, the winning market is the Sharks (-6). Because if you took 6 points off the Sharks score, they still win the game 18-16. For more info on handicap betting, read here!
Here is another scenario.
The end score is Sharks 22-22 Lions. However the Sharks missed 2 conversions, and the Lions missed 2 penalties.
The score now becomes Sharks 26-28 Lions. The Lions will now win the game on the All Placed Kicks to count market (outright). They would still win on the handicap.
