What is Lucky Numbers?
Lucky Numbers is different to the lotto, in the sense you aren’t playing into the lotto pools, you are betting on the numbers that will be drawn.
You have the option of betting on:
One number to show up in the draw
Two numbers
Three numbers
Four numbers
Whether the bonus ball will be Low (1-24) or High (26-49) (25 belongs to the bookmaker)
Whether the bonus ball will be a single digit number (1-9).
All the above have set odds.
For instance if you are betting on the number 13 to come up in the SA Lotto, the odds are 5/1. This means that if the number 13 comes up in the draw, you win 5x your stake, plus your stake back. So if you bet R10, you will win R50 plus your R10 back = R60.

Therefore this means your payouts aren’t determined by how many people win, your payout is fixed. Its called fixed odds betting.
Just remember its also different to the lotto, in that its not where you pick 6 numbers, and you get paid out if 3 come up. If you bet 3 numbers (say 7,13 and 36) to come up in the SA Lotto, then those three numbers have to come up. If only one or two numbers you selected come up, it is a losing bet. Obviously the less numbers you choose the better your chances. But the more numbers you play, the bigger your payout.
Here are all the odds for the SA Lottos, UK49s, Spain Daily, Canadian draws: (Please note that different draws may have different amount of balls, which changes the odds. Please make sure you know the odds before playing):
1 NUMBER
Choose 1 number between 1– 49. If your chosen number is drawn out of the 7 lotto balls you are a winner! You WIN 5 x the amount you played. E.g. Playing R10 will win you R50 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R60
2 NUMBERS
Choose 2 numbers between 1– 49. If both of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls you are a winner! You WIN 52 x the amount you played. E.g. Playing R10 will win you R520 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R530
3 NUMBERS
Choose 3 numbers between 1– 49. If all three of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls (including the bonus ball) you are a winner! You WIN 400 x the amount you played. E.g. Playing R10 will win you R4000 PLUS the R10 you played. Total amount won = R4010
4 NUMBERS
Choose 4 numbers between 1– 49. If all four of your chosen numbers are drawn out of the 7 lotto balls, you are a winner! You WIN 3000 x the amount you played. E.g. Playing R10 will win you R30 000 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R30 010
PREDICT THE BONUS BALL
Predicting the correct bonus ball will win you 47 times the amount you played! E.g. Playing R10 will win you R470 PLUS the R10 you played.
Total amount won = R480
BONUS BALL 1-9
Predicting the bonus ball as a single number between 1-9 will win you four times the amount you played! E.g. Playing R10 will win you R40 PLUS the R10 you played. Total amount won = R50
BONUS BALL HI (26 – 49) or LOW (1- 24)
Correctly predicting the Bonus Ball as either a HI ball or a LOW ball, will double your money! E.g. Playing R10 will win you R10 PLUS the R10 you played. Total amount won = R20. Number 25 is the bookmaker’s ball and all bets on high-low will be losers if number 25 is the bonus ball.
