What is the Total Goals Under/Over Market?

Total Goals Under/Over (0.5 – 6.5)

The Total Goals Under/Over market allows the punter bet on whether the total number of goals in the game will either be over or under a certain amount.

This is a 90 minute market, and works on the total goals on the scoreboard at the end of the final whistle (no extra time or penalties).

Before there was only the option of 2.5 goals available.  Now there are options from 0.5 to 6.5 goals.  Please note that on very one sided games, the total goals might only start from UNDER 1.5 goals, and on very close games, it might only go up to UNDER 5.5 goals.

If Swansea (S) is playing Man City (M), then the market options are:
1. SvM Under 0.5
2. SvM Over 0.5

It will be the same like this for all the different options.
1. SvM Under 1.5 / 2.5 / 3.5 / 4.5 / 5.5 / 6.5
2. SvM Over 1.5 / 2.5 / 3.5 / 4.5 / 5.5 / 6.5

The reason for the (.5) in the total goals market, is so that it has to be over or under a certain amount – only two options.  Therefore if there 0 goals, then it is UNDER 0.5, while if there is 1 goal, it is OVER 0.5.

If the punter bets on there to be UNDER 3.5 goals, this means if the score is 2-1, then he will be a winner as there are only 3 goals in the game.   This would be the same if the score was 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 2-0 etc.

However, if there are 4 goals scored in the game, then this is a losing bet.  The correct option would be OVER 3.5.
