The horse was ridden in fine style by jockey Lyle Hewitson who also notched up his 200th winner of the season yesterday.

Gavin Smith, who is from the Windy City is one of five trainers in the country to have reached the 100 mark this season and is currently 9th on the SA Champion Trainer log.

He has been involved in the sport for over four decades and rode work for the first time at the tender age of 11. The competition in Port Elizabeth is getting stronger each season but Gavin continues to hold his own and he is currently based at Fairview Racecourse.

In an exclusive interview with Sporting Post, Smith said that he is happy to have a great sponsor and team behind him.

“We fortunately have loyal owner support base and I’m proud of my team, our horses and our jockeys. We also enjoy genuine support and encouragement from our valued sponsors, Hollywoodbets. This was an important marker for us and now it’s no releasing the foot from the pedal as we go all out for the rest of the season,” said Smith.
