Winning Form Best Bets
Race 2: MENTALIST(9)
Race 4: CASEY RYDER(18)
Race 6: INDIAN HAWK(1)
Race 7: THE SHARK(3)
Race 2: MENTALIST(9)
Jockey: Luyolo MXOTHWA – Trainer: Justin SNAITH
MENTALIST has kept his form well and he challenged strongly when a close third over the minimum trip on this course, two weeks ago. He has already run a place over seven furlongs, so this trip should pose little trouble for him and he should go very close to winning. The son of Captain Al gets the services of a 2.5kgs claiming apprentice.
Race 3: RUSHING STAR(4)
Jockey: Wayne AGRELLA – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER
An interesting contest and jockey Wayne Agrella would have learnt plenty about RUSHING STAR after he partnered the gelding in his last start. The son of Windrush is a long striding sort that is no doubt better at Fairview. However, he did very well to stay on for second over 2400m last time out and is suited to this trip. His experienced jockey will no doubt use his long stride from pole position today and can pull this off.
Race 4: BELLA RAGAZZA(10)
Jockey: Teaque GOULD – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER
BELLA RAGAZZA bounced right back to her best when she flew late and was only beaten a head at the wire over this c & d against male rivals, two weeks ago. She was returning from a ten week break so should strip much fitter and more importantly is back against fillies. She received a four pound penalty for that effort but has handled this class of opposition before and should give another very good account of herself.
Race 6: INDIAN HAWK(1) – TOP BET
VALUE BET FOR TODAY:
Race 1: DAGGONS HALL(8) (Each Way)
Jockey: Heavelon v/d HOVEN – Trainer: Mitchell WIESE
This is a moderate contest but there are lots of speedsters here and the likely blistering pace is sure to assist the runners that finish well. DAGGONS HALL is a long-time maiden but she generally runs on late and will definitely benefit from a fast pace. She is versatile and has placed over this minimum trip. The daughter of Albert Hall came from some way back for fourth over seven furlongs on this course last time out and could spring a surprise with the same 4kgs claiming apprentice up, once again.
