Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: NATIONAL AL(15)
Race 2: BERTIE’S WEEKLY(1)
Race 3: NORVIC(1)
Race 6: ICEMBERG(1)
Race 2: KIRKBY NINJA(12)
Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH – Trainer: Alan GREEFF
This is another tough contest but the juvenile KIRKBY NINJA is coming along the right way and could enjoy his debut around the turn. He has had two decent efforts from his three outings and stayed on well for fourth over six furlongs last time. The son of Dupont is handily drawn at barrier 4 and can make further improvement today.
Race 3: NORVIC(1)
Jockey: Barend VLOOH – Trainer: Tara LAING
NORVIC showed exactly what he is capable of when he came from some way back to finish a good second over a mile in yielding conditions at Fairview, ten days ago. Interestingly, that was his first try in blinkers and he will benefit from that headgear again today. The son of Count Dubois is handily drawn and is possibly even better over this extra furlong. He should take some beating in this field.
Race 6: ICEMBERG(1) – TOP BET
Jockey: Muzi YENI – Trainer: Justin SNAITH
ICEMBERG is in very good form and comes into this contest in search of a hat-trick after his two impressive recent victories over this trip with Yeni up. He has a particularly successful record over this c & d and is best in on official ratings. The son of Hennessy has a nice turn of foot and should take a power of beating in this line-up.
Race 8: PURE HONEY(11)
PURE HONEY has done well in recent outings and was far from disgraced when just out of the placings in a pinnacle contest over a mile at Fairview, ten days ago. He will be much better suited to this calibre of opposition and often finds a good finish in his races. He is suited to this trip and should be very competitive from a handy draw.
VALUE BET FOR TODAY:
Race 5: SINGANA(16) (Each Way)
Jockey: Sean VEALE – Trainer: Grant PADDOCK
Jockey Sean Veale has made the long trip down to PE to ride for the Paddock yard and this could be his best chance of entering the winner’s enclosure. He rides the filly SINGANA who comes into this contest with a handy galloping mass of 52.5kgs. The daughter of Right Approach has had two fair local starts and improved to finish just out of the placings over this c & d against male rivals last time. She is back against her own sex today and will be cherry-ripe to run a big race on her third run after the break. She is drawn in midfield which is a big plus.
