Race 5
BALLISTIC MOON followed up his penultimate run victory over five furlongs with a fifth-place finish next time out over this c&d, 4.3L behind the winner and the form of that race has proved to be strong, with four runners out of that contest having subsequently won. He returns from an 18-week break but has put in an encouraging barrier trial to prove his fitness. From gate seven, he could be the one that they all have to beat.
AGENT MOON only saw daylight at the 200M mark when finishing strongly to win his maiden race last time out over this c&d by a head. He takes on stronger here and will have to deal with gate ten, but he does have his peak run after returning from a 23-week absence.
BLEUE’S CHOICE is a speedy sort who also won his maiden race last time out over five furlongs, but in his case by one length. He has a kinder draw five and should make his presence felt in this line-up.
Race 6
With the late scratching of one of his main rivals, the door may have opened for today’s best bet HEZA GENTLEMAN to chalk up his third career victory. He has finished second in his last two outings, the latest when attempting to go from jump to wire, only to be collared close to the finishing post, 1.3L back from the winner. He will have to negotiate draw nine, but he could prove too good for his field.
JUST BUSINESS is drawn one inside the top choice and by contrast, showed marked improvement when dropping down in distance to end up in second place last time out over six furlongs, just a head behind the winner. He finished strongly that day from some way back, so should be doing his best work late.
SO SAY YOU is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and although recorded as finishing sixth last time out over 1300M, she was only two lengths adrift of the victor. She has cracked pole position and should be involved in the finish.
Race 7
HUXTON CREEPER has consistent formlines to his credit, finishing third in his last two runs, the latest over 1300M, two and a half lengths back from the winner. He faces a wideish gate eight, but on the plus side, he will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. As such, he is taken to be the value bet on the day’s program.
MORGENSTERN showed solid improvement when third in his latest start over six furlongs, just under a half-length back from the winner. He was bumped and became unbalanced down at the start that day and then came three-wide into the home straight, so that effort was commendable. The colt will have to overcome a wide draw eleven, but he should be right up there when they hit the line.
PYRAMINX put his disappointing penultimate run firmly behind him when finishing fourth last time out over seven furlongs, 2.9L behind the winner. He is drawn one inside the latter and if able to repeat that last effort, he should be included in all bets.
Race 8
TULLA PARK attracted plenty of betting support when finishing third in his latest outing over five furlongs, just over two lengths adrift of the winner. He came wide into the stretch that day but finished his race off well. He faces gate ten but will have 2kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice to aid his cause and will be hoping to make amends here.
EL PRADOS on the other hand has pulled pole position and has improved in his last three runs, culminating with a head victory last time out over six furlongs. He showed plenty of determination in that win and if showing the same here, he could complete a quick double.
TICKLER only saw daylight at the 250M pole last time out, but then finished strongly to end up in seventh spot over five furlongs, 3.7L behind the winner. He gets gate five and with better luck in running today, he should be right up there in the mix.
