Race 5

ROSIE RIVETER jumped awkwardly before going on to win by one and a half lengths over 1300m on debut. She led into the home straight and then strode away from the chasing pack for a comfortable victory. She would have come on with the run under her belt and could be almost anything. She has cracked pole position and could prove good enough to post a quick double. SELEQUE battled all the way down to the wire when showing solid improvement to win her maiden race by a head last time out over six furlongs. She is a speedy sort who has a handy draw four and she could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages. HYBRID THEORY was making good late progress when ending up in sixth place is her latest outing over 1300M, just over two and a half lengths behind the winner. She is draw one inside the latter and should be included in all bets.

Race 6

Two 3yr old fillies could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta, but IMPRESSIVE LASS is taken to lead them all home. she has consistent formlines to her name and finished fourth last time out over this trip, just over a half length back from the winner. she will have to negotiate a wide gate eleven out of twelve, but she should be doing her best work late. JADIDA finished fifth on debut over 1100M, just over two lengths adrift of the victor. she would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. KLOPP showed marked improvement to finish fifth last time out over five furlongs, one length back from the victor. If he has continued along that same path, he should be right up there when they hit the line.

Race 7

Today’s value bet, PATAGONIAN showed good improvement when dropping back in distance to the five furlong sprint, finishing one length back from the winner, despite being friendless in the betting markets. He had to be held up when entering the home straight and only saw daylight at the 250M mark, so did well to finish as close to the winner as he did. He won over this trip three runs back and with better luck in running here, he could find himself in the winner’s box. Two 3yr old fillies could chase him home, with the slight preference going to PARACHUTER who returns from a 20 week rest, but who has had the two barrier trials, winning them both to showcase her well-being. She is seldom far off the action and from gate six, she should be right up there in the firing line. BAROSSA ROSA has won two of her last three outings, the latest over 1100M by one and a half lengths, despite jumping awkwardly that day. She has gate four and should not be lightly dismissed in this line-up.

Race 8

BOJACK showed plenty of pace when winning first time out over six furlongs, putting three lengths between himself and the opposition. He was very impressive that day and from gate four be looks difficult to topple here and is taken to be the best bet on the program. TECTONICUS followed up his penultimate run victory over 1500M with a second place finish next time out over nine furlongs, four lengths off the winner. He has his first run since a 27 week break, but has had the benefit of two barrier trials. He is sure to put his pole position to good use and he could be the immediate danger to the top pick. NORDICUS overraced in his last start and then understandably has little to offer over the closing stages last time out when ending up in eighth spot, 4.2L adrift of the winner. He will need to deal with a wideish gate eight, but if settling in the race, he should be involved in the finish.
