Race 4

BOLD CONTENDER has finished second in his last four runs, the latest over 1500M, when 2.3L behind the winner. He was making good late progress that day and although drawn the widest of them all in gate fourteen, he is taken to break his maiden at the tenth time of asking.

MISS PIERPOINT is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and finished second in her last outing over 1710M, 2.3L back from the winner. She came three wide approaching the final turn which would have cost her valuable ground. She jumps from a wideish gate nine, but she should give the males a good run for their money.

ULTIMATE MAN has consistent formlines to his name, finishing third in his latest outing over 1710M, two and a half lengths behind the winner, despite coming three wide into the home straight. That was in the same race as the latter and as he has an even wider draw twelve and that the pair meet on the same weight terms today, he may well have to settle for the same result.

Race 5

MONTE DI ROSE is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has won two of her last three runs, the latest over six furlongs by just under two lengths. She hit the front at the 250M mark that day and the contest was over from that point as she was eased down approaching the line. She has cracked pole position and is made the best bet on the day’s card.

LORD AVATAR dashed clear of his field as he entered the home straight and was only nabbed in the shadow of the post to fail by just a short-head to secure victory last time out over 1412M. He is drawn in gate seven and is likely to adopt similar tactics today.

LE FIGARO is a 5yr old mare who was slow away and then held up between the 600M and 400M marks last time out before finishing well to end up in second place over 1100M, just a neck behind the winner. She is drawn one inside the latter and should be doing her best work late.

Race 6

HOLBROOK followed up his penultimate run victory over 1900M with a sixth-place finish next time out over 2020M, just under four lengths adrift of the winner. It must however be noted that he had to be held up between the 600M and 400M marks that day and that he also came three-wide into the home turn. From his draw four and with better luck in running, he is made the value bet on the program.

TIOMO finished strongly when making solid improvement to win his last outing over 2220M by just under two and a half lengths. He is drawn one outside the former and could threaten him for top spot.

DIVINE DIVA finished seventh last time out over 2020M, 4.2L behind the victor, but that was in a feature race, so the effort may turn out to be encouraging. He will have to overcome a wide draw ten, but on the plus side, he will get 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 7

MAGIC CHARLEE won his penultimate start over seven furlongs and then had nothing go his way when finishing second last time out over 1516M, just under a half-length back from the winner. He had to be held up on the turn and was then hampered at the 200M pole just as he was making a forward move. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and whilst drawn wide in gate twelve, he will be hoping to make amends today.

GREAT MARLOW has his consistency rewarded with victory last time out over 1610M, winning by one and a half lengths. The gelding overraced between the 1200M and 1000M that day, but still managed to kick clear of the opposition at the 225M pole. From his far kinder draw three, he should post another creditable performance today.

STORM ATTACK also won his penultimate start over seven furlongs and then finished sixth next time out over 1550M, 5.8L adrift of the victor, but he was bumped at the start that day and found himself at the rear of the field. He gets gate six and will have 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice to aid his cause.
