Race 4
SNITZIFY followed up his penultimate run victory over 1300M with a second place finish next time out over this c&d, just over two lengths behind the winner. He came three wide into the straight that day, but still stayed on well over the closing stages of the contest. He has cracked pole position and could be the one that they all have to beat. HOLY REIGN had his consistency rewarded with a head win last time out over 1300M. He returns from a 19 week rest, but has had the benefit of two barrier trials, winning the latest. He faces a wideish gate nine, but on the plus side will have 2kgs removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. GRENADO made marked improvement in his last two outings and was doing good work late when winning his maiden race last time out over six furlongs by nearly two lengths. He has a far kinder draw two and should be right up there when they hit the line.
Race 5
MARSANNAY has finished third in his last four runs over a variety of different distances, the latest over seven furlongs, beaten just under a length. He was well supported in the betting markets that day, but he was hampered shortly after the start before recovering well to be only run out of it over the dying stages of the race. He is sure to put his pole position to good use and as such, he is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. MACLEAY is seldom far off the action and was tightened for galloping room shortly after the start and then had to be eased at the 800M mark before ending up in a creditable second place last time out over a mile. He has drawn the widest of them all in gate ten, but he likely to be dropped out of the race in the early stages and should start picking off the frontrunners over the latter stages. Although COME ALONG is recorded as finishing fifth in his last outing over 1500M, he was just over three lengths adrift of the winner. He overraced in the early and middle stages of the race that day and understandably had little to offer over the closing stages. He is drawn in gate eight and will have 2kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice to aid his cause. He should be involved in the finish here.
Race 6
MARWAY has his hat-trick run after winning his last start over five furlongs by a head, this when returning from a lengthy 42 week absence from the race track. He hit the front at the 150M pole that day and then fought off all the late challengers over the closing stages. From his draw two, he should turn in another honest performance today. THE NEON KNIGHT is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she completed her quartet of victories when winning her last start over the 900M dash by one length, this despite being bumped at the 800M mark. She is drawn one outside the top choice and she should give the males a good run for their money. BOMBDIGGITY made solid improvement when going from jump to wire to win his last outing over five furlongs by a head. He was returning from a 13 week rest that day and the form of that race has been franked. From draw six, he should be included in all bets.
Race 7
Today’s value bet, HARMONY ROSE missed out on her hat-trick when finishing second last time out over a mile, just 0.4L off the winner. She made good late progress in that event and from her handy draw five, she will be looking to bounce back to winning ways. She does return from a 12 week break, but she won her only barrier trial to showcase her well-being. FASHCHANEL has recorded two encouraging last runs, one over a mile and the latest over 1300M when finishing second, just under a half length behind the winner. She stayed on well that day suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to her liking. She jumps from gate eight and should be right up there in the mix. ELEGANT GRACE has consistent formlines to her credit and turned as the leader into the straight and then battled all the way down to the wire to record her third career victory last time out by just under a length. She has pulled gate two and should not be lightly dismissed in this line-up.
