Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: TRUE GIFT(8)
Race 2: KING HORIZONS(8)
Race 3: TRIBUTE TO KYLIE(10)
Race 6: SELBORNE SUPREMACY(4)

Race 3: TRIBUTE TO KYLIE(10)
Jockey: Brandon LERENA – Trainer: Adam MARCUS
TRIBUTE TO KYLIE has produced three cracking performances to date and has met some quality sorts along the way. The speedy son of Kildonan was caught very late over six furlongs last time but this drop in trip should suit him perfectly and he should prove very tough to beat. Admittedly, there are six first timers in this contest which makes things tricky but it will take a really special one to stop the top rating from exiting the maidens today. Having said that, it is rather intriguing that he gets his 4th different jockey aboard in as many starts. The betting market will be a good guide as to the chances of the newcomers.
Race 4: ETERNAL JET(5)
Jockey: Sean CORMACK – Trainer: Dennis DRIER
ETERNAL JET produced an eye-catching debut when he reeled in the speedy Tribute To Kylie to win going away over six furlongs at Scottsville, three weeks ago. The well-related son of Jet Master is highly regarded by his in-form conditioner and would have benefitted greatly from that experience. He takes on much stronger today but will love the step-up in distance and should make lots of natural improve- ment. The obvious concern is how he will handle the turn.
Race 7: CANDY MOON(1)
Jockey: Ian STURGEON – Trainer: Paul GADSBY
CANDY MOON has come back to his best since being gelded and now has his third run after the break. He has already shown a love for this long run-in. He produced his customary strong finish to win his penultimate outing over this trip at Greyville and then again finished well for fourth against strong- er, last time out. He was just over one length behind the runner-up MAN TO MAN in that last outing but now meets that rival on 1kg better terms and can reverse the form.

Race 8: WHAT A WINTER(1) – TOP BET
Jockey: Bernard FAYD’HERBE – Trainer: Mike BASS
This is the champion sprinter
WHAT A WINTER‘s swansong as the brilliant son of Western Winter heads off to stud. His record of 15 wins from 25 starts speaks for itself and his trainer put him through an exercise gallop when he easily won his last start over this c & d. He should have no equals in this contest and ought to maintain his 100% c & d record. He is drawn favourably on the outside of the track and should end his career on a winning note.
The battle for second could be a closely fought one but WELWITSCHIA is a top sort that has also enjoyed a highly sucessful career. This could well be her last start of her racing career and she has shown that she is right up there with the best. She ran on well for third, beaten three lengths by the top rating over the Turffontein 1000m three starts ago and can fill the second berth.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY:
Race 2: ATSO’S HILL(1) (Each Way)
Jockey: Karis TEETAN – Trainer: Frank ROBINSON
ATSO’S HILL has shown fair form to date and has improved with blinkers fitted in his last two starts. He showed his versatility with two useful performances in recent outings in open company and now faces his own age group. The son of Atso is again fitted with blinkers and should be very competitive from a favourable outside draw.
