Brilliant filly with interrupted prep, has the class but prefers galloping track.
MAGIC TIPS Comments:
- The brilliant three-year old grey filly’s record underlines her ability and though she had an interrupted prep, her conditioner has continuously reminded critics that she has done extremely well racing fresh.
- She has all the class and her last run behind WYLIE HALL was exceptional after she was cut-into.
- The daughter of Redoute’s Choice was staying on nicely at the finish and she has more scope for improvement.
- All that said, her number 1 draw could ironically be her undoing as many of her rivals will push through for early position.

Loves this track & the jockey Behr.
MAGIC TIPS Comments:
- Together with FUTURA this seven-year old gelding has the best record of their rivals on this track.
- He finished his last campaign with polished performances on this course and teamed up brilliantly with Cape Town based jockey Grant Behr during the summer.
- The Black Minnaloushe gelding finsihed closs-up in the Queen’s Plate and J&B Met and now meets the top weight on 3.5kgs better weight terms for a 2.25 length beating in the latter event.
- He was reportedly not striding out in his prep run four weeks ago but will be fitter & has place prospects.

Top class three-year old, impressive last win but track is still an issue.
MAGIC TIPS Comments:
- The first of trainer Sean Tarry’s talented three-year olds in this field, the son of Count Dubois was an impressive winner of the Daily News on his track debut, five weeks ago.
- He has plenty of class about him and should have finished much closer behind his stablemate LEGAL EAGLE in the Derby on the Highveld in his penultimate run but for suffering interference at a crucial stage.
- He definitely has the class to be competitive but needs a strong pace which clearly assisted him on this track last time.
- He will have a tougher task today.

Seldom far off, decent prep but could prefer shorter & is drawn wide
MAGIC TIPS Comments:
- This Right Approach gelding has once again done enough to get into the country’s most prestigious race and Piere Strydom is back aboard.
- ‘Striker’ gave him the best possible ride under circumstances but he was not good enough a year ago, probably due to his inability to see out the trip, coupled with the sedate gallop.
- His prep has once again been decent and he did run on late behind Legislate in the Grade 1 Gold Challenge last time but has a massive task from his wide barrier position.
- The stable has a much stronger hand than him.
