Magic Tips Best Bets

TOP BET FOR TODAY
Race 1: TEVYE (7)

Jockey: Bester L – Trainer: Nel J

TEVYE ran an absolute cracker on debut over this C&D. The manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye. The son of Crusade would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

Race 3: FIND ME UNAFRAID (6)

Jockey: V.Rensburg M – Trainer: Smith G

FIND ME UNAFRAID ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D last time. He was slow into stride that day, but ran on strongly in the closing stages. The son of Master Of My Fate gets the services of Marco van Rensburg for the first time and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Race 5: FLY MY FLAG (10)

Jockey: Hewitson L – Trainer: Kotzen S

FLY MY FLAG was ultra-impressive when winning her maiden over six furlongs on this course. It must be noted that she broke the course record for the C&D that day. The daughter of Querari takes on much stronger opposition today, but she has a handy galloping mass and looks to have plenty of scope about her.

Race 6: TIGER STAR (1)

Jockey: Ramzan Y – Trainer: Bremner Y

TIGER STAR won a very good race despite hanging over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won twice, finished second twice and third once from six starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming apprentice Yuzae Ramzan retains the ride and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again.

VALUE BET
Race 8: ARANJUEZ(3)
Jockey: Maujean C – Trainer: Laing Tara

ARANJUEZ should have finished closer last time as he had to be steadied at the 200m mark. He has won three times and finished third twice from ten starts over this C&D. The son of Just As Well has dropped to a competitive rating and on best form shown, he should be the one to beat.
