Winning Form brings you their best tips for Fairview’s racing on Friday the 10th of March 2017. Tips provided come from Winning Form, as well as their back page tipster – Magic Tips by eMeM.

Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: SILKEN SUMMER(11)
Race 2: MATADOR IN RED(2)
Race 6: KING OF THE RALLY(1)
Race 7: THE MERRY WIDOW(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: ZIP LINE(1)
Jockey: Craig ZACKEY – Trainer: Corne SPIES

ZIP LINE has shown smart credentials on the Highveld and it must be noted that he was carded to race at Turffontein on Tuesday. He certainly has huge claims in the unlikely event that he does take his place in this field on his local debut. The minimum trip should be no issue for the speedy gelding.

Race 3: STRUT YOUR STUFF(12)
Jockey: Teaque GOULD – Trainer: Alan GREEF

STRUT YOUR STUFF, expectedly relished the extra ground as the imported four-year-old filly cruised to her maiden victory over ten furlongs on this course, three weeks ago. She faces stronger on her handicap debut today but does seem lowly rated and she will prefer facing her own sex. The daughter of High Chaparral has further scope for progress and she will be cherry-ripe.

Race 7: PRIMROSE LANE(3)
Jockey: Grant VAN NIEKERK – Trainer: Darryl HODGSON

The Cape raiders could have a massive say in this listed event and PRIMROSE LANE can make a winning local debut back against her own sex. She is slightly out at the weights on official ratings but is progressive and she drops heavily in class after contesting a male dominated feature over a mile on Met Day. Of course, the 4th placed finisher of that event, Janoobi recently won the Gauteng Guineas and in the process gave his brilliant conditioner his 3000th career win. This daughter of Gimmethegreenlight has struck up a fine relationship with top class young jockey Van Niekerk and she is her yard’s only entrant on the card.

TOP BET
Race 8: BAAHIR(4)

Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

BAAHIR has resurrected his career after trying this minimum distance and he deservedly received the seven-pound hike for his fluent last c & d, albeit at a slightly lower-level. He is now 2.5kgs worse off with the runner-up CHENNAI SPICE but clearly, has more to offer over this trip and has strong claims of following up despite the rise in class. He is once again favourably drawn.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 2: DULY ORDAINED(6)

Jockey: Callan MURRAY – Trainer: Tara LAING

There could be a lack of pace in this nine-furlong handicap and the top rating DULY ORDAINED can dictate his own terms. He’s had some fair recent performances over shorter since arriving in the province and drops in class here. The veteran gelding has no issues with this trip, having gone close over the Derby distance on the Highveld much earlier in his career. The Australian import continues to drop in the merit ratings.
