He followed that up with a fair sprint in a moderate event subsequently but was more than seven lengths clear of the next placed entrant. His pedigree indicates that he will relish the mile and the bay colt has a bright say from the best draw. Interestingly, his stable companion Larnie downed today’s likely favourite MAMBO TANGO last time out so the conditioner of the top selection will have a good line to work with.

NORDIC LEADER is in great form and has plenty going for him in this moderate contest. He went close to winning his last two starts on this surface and jumps from a good draw in a likely slow run event.

ELUSIVE ROSE relished the switch to this surface as she crushed her ordinary rivals over this c & d in late May & may have escaped with just a six-pound penalty. The blinkers certainly made the difference for the former Cape resident who doesn’t take on much stronger and can definitely follow up. She has another good draw.

FOR LUCK SAKE hasn’t disgraced himself in strong company recently and the polytrack specialist can cause an upset in this final event. He finished just over one length adrift of the grey gelding BAH over the minimum trip on this surface in his penultimate run and is 1kg to the good. The extra furlong suits the five-year-old bay.
