Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: NACRE(13)
Race 3: CRUZCAMPO(1)
Race 4: DANCING RUGA(3)
Race 7: GLOBAL EXPRESS(5)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: QUERA(2)
Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

QUERA is the stable elect and he can stake a serious claim if allowed to dictate his own terms. The game frontrunner had good form on this course prior to his below-par last effort but he will prefer today’s slightly shorter distance. The Querari gelding can quickly return to his best form.

Race 3: LORD MARSHAL(7)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Justin SNAITH

LORD MARSHAL was expected to do better on his local debut on the grass but he did make some steady headway in that competitive mile handicap. The former Cape resident hasn’t fulfilled the early promise but he could bounce back to form in this province. He has met many classy sorts along the way and has claims on his polytrack debut despite being out at the weights. The Snaith inmate also prefers an extra furlong but he should enjoy the decent gallop and will be running on at the finish.

TOP BET
Race 4: BRITISH FAIRY(1)
Jockey: Luyolo MXOTHWA – Trainer: Grant PADDOCK

BRITISH FAIRY has come to form smartly since arriving in this province and he was given a good ride when collared late over seven furlongs on the grass earlier this month. He could enjoy racing on this surface with his handy tactics & the former Cape resident has more to offer. The son of Great Britain jumps from the best draw.

Race 7: THE STONES(3)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Tara LAING

THE STONES has continued his great run of form despite rising in distance and he is again the one to beat despite facing a few of today’s rivals on worse terms. The Tara Laing inmate was outrun late into 2nd at a similar level over this c & d late last month and of course, the 3rd placed finisher GLOBAL EXPRESS boosted that formline with an easy subsequent victory. The top selection was penalized three pounds for his exertions but he clearly has more to offer at this level and should give another great account of himself.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 1: LADY AWAY(1)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

There are some very fast types in this opening contest and the likely suicidal pace should suit those runners who finish well. The lightly raced LADY AWAY has smart form and she ended both her races on this surface well. She will strip fitter after perhaps just needing her comeback run recently and her good draw is a major plus.
