Race 2: AREZZO(1)
Race 3: NURSE HARRIET(1)
Race 7: PEONIE ROCK(5)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 4: OFF TO GAUL(5)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Tara LAING

OFF TO GAUL has improved with each local outing and he produced a strong finish to win his last c & d effort. He got up close to home that day but may have been worthy of more than just the minimum two-pound penalty inflicted, hence the son of Captain Al could still be ahead of the handicapper. He meets a similar field and can certainly follow-up from his good draw.

TOP BET
Race 5: ONE LOVE(4)
Jockey: Karl ZECHNER – Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

ONE LOVE
has a definite affinity for this surface and she performed way above her merit rating in her last two novice contests. She was making good progress when placed 4th over a mile two weeks ago and is much better treated on today’s handicap terms. Her sire Manduro was a multiple Group 1 winner in Germany and he won over ten furlongs, indicating that this chestnut filly could relish today’s step-up in distance. She may still be ahead of the handicapper, particularly if she stays, and could take a power of beating from the best draw.

Race 6: LIGHTNING BOLT(2)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

LIGHTNING BOLT kept up his good form since returning from the long break as he quickened smartly to easily win his last effort over this c & d, two weeks ago. He was penalized four pounds for the win but the Greeff inmate still appears ahead of the handicapper and he holds strong claims of following up. The Visionaire gelding has a smart turn of foot so another wide draw may not be a huge issue.

Race 7: CUP CAKE(3)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Justin SNAITH

CUP CAKE is slightly out at the weights but she has lots of class about her and she had a solid three- year old campaign. The daughter of Var is plagued with niggles, hence she enjoys this forgiving surface and she usually goes well racing fresh. The Snaith inmate should go close on her seasonal debut and her yard often brings them back fit and well.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 3: JUST CORAL(11)

Jockey: Teaque GOLD – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

This is an interesting maiden contest that could be dominated by four entrants and the lightly raced JUST CORAL gets the nod after she produced an eye-catching sprint debut on this course, two weeks ago. It must be noted that she was carded to race at this venue over the same trip last Friday and her progress there must be monitored. Her pedigree suggests that she will relish this step-up in distance and she is well drawn at gate 3. The older fillies should mount a serious challenge and the Olimpic Hall formline could be key.
