Winning Form Best Bets

Race 3: GREEN DOOR(8)
Race 4: LEMON LILY(2)
Race 7: GOGETTHESHERIFF(1)
Race 8: RAZZLE MY TAZZLE(11)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: SINGITA SWENI(7)

Jockey: Aldo DOMEYER – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

SINGITA SWENI has produced two quality turf runs after his fair debut and he has more to offer. He has the nasty tendency to jump slowly which is slightly concerning but the progressive son of Mambo In Seattle usually finishes well and he met some quality winners in his last start. He stayed on for a good 3rd on that occasion and is a serious threat back in maiden company. The bay colt could enjoy switching to the polytrack and he merits healthy respect from a good draw.

Race 3: LEGO HOUSE(5)

Jockey: Muzi YENI – Trainer: Gavin SMITH

LEGO HOUSE has done extremely well on this surface since arriving in this province and he deserves his first career victory. He was gaining strongly at the finish when a close 2nd over this c & d recently and can go one better with Yeni engaged for the ride.

Race 6: RUSSIAN MIG(2)

Jockey: Kersley RAMSAMY – Trainer: Hekkie STRYDOM

RUSSIAN MIG is still enjoying his racing and he produced a strong finish to win a good contest going away over shorter, seven days ago. He is suited to the mile and will again benefit from a 2.5kgs appie claim. The seven-year-old gelding is weighted to be competitive and he usually finishes strongly so his wide draw isn’t an issue.

TOP BET

Race 7: GOGETTHESHERIFF(1)

Jockey: Juan-Paul VAN DER MERVE – Trainer: Jaques STRYDOM

The track specialist GOGETTHESHERIFF has been defeated just once from seven outings on this surface and despite his big mass today, he is still weighted to take some beating on official ratings. He is a versatile sort whose first local victory came over this c & d and his impressive last victory on the grass showed that he is still in great form. He has a super-impressive turn of foot and should go close despite his wide draw.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 8: QUICK STEP ROSIE(12)

Jockey: Karl ZECHNER – Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

QUICK STEP ROSIE had two moderate post maiden runs at novice level but she has her handicap debut now and could benefit from blinkers. She has improved since arriving in this province and went close on her local polytrack debut over a similar distance. The daughter of Antonius Pius will prefer racing in this handicap company and she can bounce back to best form from her handy draw.
