Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: LATINO RAMBO(2)
Race 3: CLASSIC DELIGHT(7)
Race 5: CLIFTON SURF(1)
Race 6: AXIMO(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 3: CLASSIC DELIGHT(7)
Jockey: S’manga KHUMALO – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

This is a very ordinary fillies maiden plate but the form runner CLASSIC DELIGHT could take a power of beating, despite her wide draw. She has produced two smart runs on the polytrack and drops heavily in class after contesting a feature over this c & d in yielding going, three weeks ago. The daughter of Lecture is yet to place on the grass but she did make a fair sprint debut here and should have little issues. Her top jockey should negotiate her wide barrier and the Yvette Bremner inmate will take some beating.

Race 4: APOSTOLOS(7)
Jockey: Andrew Fortune – Trainer: Justin SNAITH

The Justin Snaith inmate APOSTOLOS made the expected improvement on his local debut in yielding going over six furlongs, three weeks ago. He was making steady progress when 2nd best behind an easy winner and would have come on with that local experience. His pedigree suggests that he will relish today’s extra furlong and there could be decent improvement to come. His wide draw isn’t a major worry on this longer run-in.

TOP BET
Race 5: CLIFTON SURF(1)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Alam GREEFF

The ultra-consistent four-year-old colt CLIFTON SURF is extremely well in at the weights in this graduation contest and he should take a power of beating over his favourite c & d. He weakened late into 4th in a strong field last time and the 3rd placed finisher, AL DON CUMARCO boosted the form with an impressive subsequent win at a high level. This son of Antonius Pius drops heavily in class now and should take a power of beating.

Race 8: PIPETTE(8)
Jockey: S’manga KHUMALO – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

The c & d specialist PIPETTE is in good form and she was outrun late into 2nd in a similar contest, two weeks ago. She finished three parts of a length in front of the 3rd placed runner FIRING QUEEN and does prefer this extra furlong. She is 1kg worse off with the latter but is consistent and is still the one to beat.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 7: CHOPPIES(4)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Steven VAN RENSBURG

This is a very competitive affair and though the Buckinghamshire c & d formline should dominate proceedings, there could be a reversal in that form and an upset is on the cards. CHOPPIES is way better than his recent form suggests and he was given an ordinary ride by his jockey in the event referred to above. He showed his true ability when slamming a novice field over this c & d whilst a maiden and he could make big improvement today. He now gets the expert services of top class veteran jockey Andrew Fortune and that could make a big difference.
