ROCK GARDEN has produced two good efforts over this distance. The son of Flower Alley raced green in his last start on the turf which may have cost him the victory. He looks to be a progressive type and with Richard Fourie in the saddle, he should be the one to beat.

SOFT SPOT was an easy winner of his last start over this distance on the turf. He raced from just off the pace and despite hanging, he won with a ton in hand. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Soft Falling Rain makes his handicap debut, but he is lightly raced and has plenty of scope. If suited to the polytrack surface, he should be the one to beat.

CHARLIE MCCREEVY was an easy winner of his last start over 2000m on this course. The manner in which he quickened up and drew away from the opposition was eye-catching. He has finished second in his only attempt over this distance. Muzi Yeni takes the ride and he will be mowing down the frontrunners from his wide draw.
