Winning Form Comments:
BELGARION is unbeaten from three starts since being gelded. The highly-rated son of Dynasty caught the eye when winning the Peninsula Handicap on Queen’s Plate day last time. He has had a gallop on this course coming into this race and should come into this race fit and well. Anton Marcus rides from pole position and he should take a power of beating.
EYES WIDE OPEN was the winner of this race last year. He produced a good comeback run when finishing 5th in the Drill Hall Stakes last time. He should strip much fitter coming into this contest and merits obvious inclusion.
HERODOTUS is the stable companion of the second choice. He finished 1.25 lengths behind the top selection in his last start. He 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should not be enough to turn the tables. He does have the pace to overcome his wide barrier position and may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.

Winning Form Comments:
TAP O’ NOTH produced a decent comeback run when finishing 4.55 lengths off Bunker Hunt over a distance short of his best. The son of Captain Al will enjoy the step up in distance today and it is encouraging that the blinkers get re-fitted for today’s race. He should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and may be the one to beat.
MERCURANA needed his last start badly over a distance short of his best. He too will enjoy the rise in distance and with just 52.5kgs on his back, he must be included in all bets.
MARCHINGONTOGETHER’S last three starts have been decent, the latest of which was over this c&d. Warren Kennedy knows him well and if repeating his last start, he should be involved in the fight out to the finishing post.

Winning Form Comments:
MIYABI GOLD is the class horse in this contest and comes into this race with decent form. She was running on well in the Majorca Stakes last time, but had to ease in the closing stages. She has won once and finished third once from four starts over this c&d. Anton Marcus steps into the saddle today and from draw two, she may be too good for this field.
PERFECT AIR fought hard for her last win over a mile at Scottsville. She will enjoy the rise in distance as she has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this trip. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she should be one of the leading contenders for the placings.
RAILTRIP won a good race in her last start despite hanging in the final 200m. Warren Kennedy knows her well and if keeping on a straight line, should run into the money.
