Magic Tips Best Bets

TOP BET

Race 2: MOLLY PITCHER(2)
Jockey: W AGRELLA – Trainer: M PRINSLOO

MOLLY PITCHER
returned to form over her favourite trip when narrowly beaten into 2nd early last month and she can go one better today. She gets the services of an in-form jockey and is clearly most effective without blinkers.

Race 4: OLD MONEY(7)
Jockey: M YENI – Trainer: C LENSLEY

OLD MONEY
quickly got back to form with a promising last run over a mile on this track last Monday. She ran on well for 2nd that day and was in turn, almost eight lengths clear of the 3rd placed runner, Princess Mira (runs in race 3). The daughter of Golden Sword is capable over the extra furlong and she can go one better today.

Race 7: SUPANOVA(3)
Jockey: E PHEIFFER – Trainer: L ERASMUS

The Gauteng visitor SUPANOVA loves the minimum distance and his two Vaal sand victories early on in his career indicates that he could love this surface on his local debut. The five-year old has found his form in recent efforts and he finished close-up in stronger company on the Highveld in his last two starts.

Race 9: GOLD CHEST(9)
Jockey: C STOREY – Trainer: S VON WILLINGH

GOLD CHEST
benefitted from racing without blinkers as he ran on well for 2nd behind subsequent winner Fort Eagle over six furlongs on this course early last month. He escaped without a penalty which is a real plus and the son of Horse Chestnut won his only showing over today’s c & d. He should stake a serious claim from his good draw.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 6: ROY’S DISPREN(9)

Jockey: M YENI – Trainer: C LENSLEY

ROY’S DISPREN
seemed to find the nine furlongs too far for him when well beaten into 3rd by FIRST SEA LORD last time out but he should be an entirely different proposition back over the mile today. Of course the Windrush gelding completed an impressive hat-trick of wins prior to that last start, including comfortably beating the latter over this track & trip in his penultimate run. He can quickly bounce back to best today.
