The six-year-old top weighted gelding is extremely well treated by the weights on official ratings and he looks set to make a successful defence of his title.

NOODLE has reserved her best efforts for this surface and her versatility is apparent in her formline. She jumps from a good draw and should take a power of beating.

VARIETY ROMP was expected to do better in his last start eight days ago but the slow start, coupled with the shorter trip may have accounted for the below-par performance from trainer Charles Laird’s charge. The lightly raced six-year-old had solid c & d form prior to that effort and he should quickly bounce back tonight.
