Winning Form Best Bets
Race 3: SON OF SILVER(5)
Race 6: ICE MACHINE(1)
Race 8: OLMA(2)
Race 9: SCOTS PARTY(1)
Race 1: SWAKOPMUND(5)
Jockey: Sean VEALE – Trainer: Dennis DRIER
The very fast gelding SWAKOPMUND cruised to his maiden victory on his polytrack debut over this trip earlier this season. He would have strengthened during his 14-week absence and the son of Imperial Stride has plenty more improvement to come. The Drier inmate has his first run after being gelded and he should go close despite the rise in class.

Race 6: ICE MACHINE(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Charles LAIRD

Race 8: SABAHA(3)
Jockey: Muzi YENI – Trainer: Duncan HOWELL
The classy Dynasty filly, SABAHA deserved her eight week break after an unsuccessful trip to Gauteng. She had promising local form prior to that and the four-year old filly is clearly on the up. She is well-weighted in this conditions plate and she should handle the nine furlongs. The Duncan Howells inmate should go very close.
Race 9: JAMA(13)
Jockey: Athandiwe MGUDLWA – Trainer: Alyson WRIGHT
The lightly raced three-year old JAMA has produced two pleasing efforts on both of the local tracks over shorter and he has plenty more to offer. He was running on, on both those occasions, the latest over seven furlongs on this track and his pedigree suggests that he will relish this rise in distance. He meets ordinary older sorts and should give another very good account of himself.
VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 5: PURPLE SPLASH(4)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Paul GADSBY
PURPLE SPLASH is lightly raced and he has produced two decent efforts on the grass. He was running on late over six furlongs behind a quality sort last time and his experience around the turn will help. The three-year old bay gelding is bred to enjoy this distance and he should continue to progress. He gets the services of top jockey Fortune who should negotiate the wide draw.
