Race 5: ROYALSECURITYPOWER(1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: COSIMA(1)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA – Trainer: Garth PULLER

COSIMA showed smart improvement when she ran on for 3rd in a very competitive line-up over this c & d recently despite being slow into stride. She had the form runner Arran Isles nearly two lengths behind her that night and this daughter of Indigo Magic should certainly build on that progress. She can finish her races well so the wide draw isn’t a major concern and barring her market rival, DREAM DE RA she meets a very ordinary field. The above pairing should have this contest to themselves despite the latter also being drawn badly.

TOP BET
Race 3: LIQUID RAINBOW(3)
Jockey: Gareth WRIGHT – Trainer: Willem A NEL

LIQUID RAINBOW is above-average and he almost gunned down his conqueror over seven furlongs on this course recently. The slow start certainly cost him victory that day but the Querari gelding would have come on further from the performance and he should love the mile. He will raise his game in this slightly stronger contest.

Race 4: AMADORA(2)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA – Trainer: Alistair GORDON

AMADORA improved her formline in yielding conditions on the grass in her last two starts and she has definite claims in this moderate line-up. She had excuses in her moderate sprint on her only polytrack showing but can make amends from a good draw here.

Race 6: SARABI(1)
Jockey: Ashot ARRIES – Trainer: Paul GADSBY

The collateral formline points to the three-year old bay filly SARABI who is certain to benefit from a 4kgs apprentice allowance. The lightly raced daughter of Rebel King improved her formline in recent back-to-back starts, the latest also in male company where she shouldered a big mass of 60.5kgs. She has another wide draw to contend with but will appreciate the fast pace and should be running on at the finish. She finished narrowly in front of JASON ARGO last time and is now 2.5kgs better off with that rival.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 7: ICED UP(11)

Jockey: Sherman BROWN – Trainer: Dennis BOSCH

ICED UP is fast reaching a competitive merit rating and her improved formline underlines that. She was making steady progress for 4th behind easy winner FASHION TALK over a similar trip on this course in her penultimate outing and is 4.5kgs to the good as she attempts to reduce the 6.30 lengths deficit. The chestnut filly confirmed that improvement with a fair subsequent run and she seems to enjoy the ‘Brown drive’. She jumps from a good draw.
