GO BALLISTIC represents the father-son Ferraris combination. He was a good comeback winner when defeating Sky Gem by half a length at the wire. He has cracked a neat draw and it will be no surprise to see him record back-to-back wins. VIVA POPCORN was beaten narrowly in his last two outings. Purton takes the ride and he may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most.
13.45 Race 3 – Class 4 Handicap 1200m

ARES returns from a four and a half month break but looks fairly handicapped in this event. He was a narrow comeback winner on this track last season and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HAPPILY FRIENDS produced a fair comeback effort when beaten a couple of lengths by Baltic Whisper. He should strip fitter and can challenge for top honours.
14.15 Race 4 – Class 4 Handicap 1200m

A SMILE LIKE YOURS moved up with purpose to win his last start. The manner in which he finished off his race suggests there is more to come from this individual and he can follow up. HAPPY GOOD GUYS produced a fair comeback run from a wide draw when beaten three lengths by Noir Rider. He will benefit from Chau’s 1.5kgs appie claim and is a big runner.
14.45 Race 5 – Class 4 Handicap 1650m
Selections: 6/2/7
SUN OF MAKFI was only beaten just under two lengths in his comeback effort. His last win came over this C&D in June, should strip fitter and is one of the leading contenders. RED MAJESTY just won his last start when defeating Savvy Kingman by a neck on this course. He is likely to adopt front-running tactics and may be hard to peg back in the closing stages.
15.15 Race 6 – Class 3 Handicap 1000m
Selections: 2/4/6
HARMONY N BLESSED backed up his favourite status when an impressive comeback winner over this C&D. Purton retains the ride and the pair can make it quick back-to-back wins. HARMONY FIRE is 2.5kgs better off at the weights with the top selection for a 2.5 length defeat and there shouldn’t be too much separating them at the wire.
15.45 Race 7 – Class 4 Handicap 1200m

LUCKY MARYKNOLL brings consistent form into this race. He followed up his recent win well when beaten just under a length by Happy Time. He runs well for Maia and should be one of the leading contenders. STORMTROUPER was unlucky in his comeback run when beaten just under a length by Great Harvest. He is drawn best of all and will be looking to make amends.
16.15 Race 8 – Class 3 Handicap 1200m

SIMPLY FLUKE showed signs of needing his comeback run when behind Classic Posh on this track. He should strip fitter and is capable of bouncing back to winning ways. EVER FORCE was only beaten by a couple of lengths in his last start before the break. He has cracked pole position, shoulders a handy galloping weight and can go close.
16.50 Race 9 – Class 3 Handicap 1650m

FA FA produced a strong dash last time to get up where it matters most. The manner in which he finished off his race suggests there is more to come from this individual this season. He goes for a hat-trick of wins and merits healthy respect in the lucky last. SURREALISM is 1.5kgs better off at the weights with the top selection for a neck defeat and is capable of turning the tables on his recent conqueror.
