YEE CHEONG WARRIOR finished right behind SPEEDY FAY FAY last time when beaten by Kungfumaster Panda. He went close under apprentice Poon in October and merits healthy respect.

SIGHT HERO defeated REWARDING TOGETHER by a length last time and is the narrow first selection. He has been knocking on the door and his second career win looks overdue. CHARMING STEED has entered the frame in both starts and still has plenty scope for improvement. Blake Shinn takes the ride and he may be able to coax extra out of him where it matters most.

HERCULES finished strongly last time when beaten a nose by Mega Bonus over this C&D. He is a sort that likes to come from off the pace and should be doing his best work late. XPONENTIAL has finished runner-up in his last four outings and looks difficult to oppose on form. He will have to overcome a wide draw and if getting across without using up too much energy, can challenge for top honours.

FAST MOST FURIOUS was ultra-impressive when defeating the scopey Master Delight last time. He was giving him a whopping 8.5kgs on that occasion, which suggests he can handle the rise in class and there may be another win in the tank. SAVVY NINE finished just in front of ZEBROWSKI last time and is the better-weighted horse out of the pair.
14:45 – Race 5 | Class 4 Handicap | 1650m

DR WINNING produced a good run from midfield last time to win going away. He has cracked a neat drawn, remains in Class 4 and can make it quick back-to-back wins. VIVA POPCORN placed behind Kungfumaster Panda last time. He shoulders a lightweight and it is encouraging that Moreira has kept faith in the ride.

A SMILE LIKE YOURS backed up his favourite status in his last two starts which was no easy task, keeps impressing and is in search of a hat-trick of wins. The form of ASTROLOGER’S penultimate run catches the eye when a shock winner. Moreira takes the ride and from his inside barrier, should make his presence felt.

KURPANY loves this C&D and was narrowly beaten just before Christmas by We The South. He has cracked another neat draw and should take a power of beating. KA YING MASTER has placed behind the progressive Sight Success in recent outings. He went close under apprentice Chau in his penultimate run and merits healthy respect.

THE RUNNER was beaten narrowly last time by FAMILY FOLKS. He looks nicely handicapped with 56kgs to shoulder and looks set to give another good account of himself. EXCELLENT CHARIOT was unlucky last time and with a better passage in running, could be one to cause an upset.

FAST PACE was beaten narrowly in this class last time by Incanto Prepared. He has cracked pole position, shoulders a handy galloping weight and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SAVVY KINGMAN brings ultra-consistent form into the lucky last. He loves nine furlongs and should be one of the leading contenders.
